Advantages, Characteristics and Applications of Aluminum Alloy Die Castings
Aluminum alloy die-casting is a type of pressure casting part that uses a pressure casting mechanical die-casting machine equipped with a casting mold to pour molten aluminum or aluminum alloy into the feeding port of the die-casting machine. After being die-cast by the die-casting machine, aluminum parts or aluminum alloy parts with the shape and size limited by the mold are cast. Such parts are usually called aluminum die-casting.
These characteristics make aluminum alloy die casting more suitable for producing various, structurally complex, and thin-walled castings. Therefore, the product is widely used in the aviation, aerospace, naval vessels, building materials, home appliances, various vehicles, and instrument industries. What are the advantages and benefits of aluminum alloy die-casting that we know about? Its advantages are mainly divided into five aspects:

1. Aluminum alloy has good filling performance due to its small linear shrinkage, but it has a large volume shrinkage and is prone to generating large shrinkage cavities at the later solidification stage.
2. Aluminum alloy has good thermal conductivity, conductivity, and cutting performance.
3. Aluminum alloy die-casting is prone to mold sticking, and the mass fraction of die-casting aluminum alloy iron is generally controlled within the range of 0.8% to 0.9% to reduce mold sticking.
4. Aluminum alloys have good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and most of them have good corrosion resistance in freshwater, seawater, concentrated nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, gasoline, and various organic compounds.
5. Aluminum alloy has low density and high strength, with a tensile strength to density ratio of 9-15. When working at high or low temperatures, it also maintains good mechanical properties.
